What if you can make an advert that looks just like a normal advert but is 100% childfree?
That’s what this is all about.
I have spent the last two months working with the ad agency Gartner to make the ad I created in order to help create the first ever childfree advert for a major online retailer.
The ad is called ‘The Kids Are Here’ and it was created by creating a photo of a baby and the caption “It’s a special day for a baby.
You can’t forget it”.
The ‘kids are here’ ad will run across the UK on a range of digital platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and Google Adwords.
To create the ad, Garter had to create a prototype that was built with children in mind.
“Our prototyping process involved testing with hundreds of children in each group, from babies to toddlers,” says Amanda Nadel, Garte’s head of creative.
In order to achieve this, we decided to use an interactive element on a 3D object, which we called a ‘playground’.””
To make the image more interactive, we made it an animated GIF.”
In order to achieve this, we decided to use an interactive element on a 3D object, which we called a ‘playground’.
“We built a playground in Photoshop for each child to play with and play on,” says Nadel.
Using the playground allowed us to get a really realistic sense of how the kids would react to the ad.
“We had to ensure they were happy with it,” says she.
“In this ad, we’ve been able to get the kids really excited about what the ad is about.”
The childfree ad is the first childfree campaign that will be displayed on a digital platform.
Gartner has created an online demo of the ad which can be seen here.
Here’s a brief look at what the advert will look like, with some key details.
We used a playground to help us create an image of a child in a childfree environment.
The children were not allowed to play, but we were able to use the playground to create an interactive playground environment.
Children were able play on the playground and interact with the advertisement.
This is a screenshot from the playground created for the childfree version of the advert.
An animated GIF of the playground environment created for each childrens’ version of ‘The Kid Is Here’.
We have created a playground for children to play in.
We were able with this playground to get their attention, as shown in the animated gif above.
You can see that the playground is full of toys, including a small monkey and a small doll.
A video of the play session for each kids’ version is shown above.
We then used our playground as a testing ground for our prototype, which consisted of 20 images, each with a different child in it.
After working with over 20 children, we were confident that we had captured the ‘kid’s heart’ of the story of the children in the ad and were happy to present this as an ad to the childrens online community.
It’s important to note that this is a prototype, so it’s not perfect.
However, this is an example of how a prototype might be used to create advertising, and as such, we are confident that it will be more than just a prototype.
This prototype was created with over 100 children.
Each image has been used to develop a play experience with the children, and it’s a good example of what you can achieve when using an interactive, interactive playground.
It’s worth noting that this demo was not meant to be a full-length campaign.
But with this ad now available for all to view, it’s clear that the ad will be a success and will be used in many more ad campaigns.
